AbstractSubmission of abstracts is now open.
SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR THE 31st ISB AND SUBMISSION OF FULL PAPER ON DEFENCE TECHNOLOGY (DT) SPECIAL ISSUEAuthors are invited to publish the papers in the proceedings of the conference or, alternatively, in a special issue of Defence Technology journal. The abstract submission to the IBS website is required prior to submission for both the proceedings and the journal.
There are two options for presenting a paper, either orally or poster, at the ISB. Either the full paper is published in the proceedings of the ISB or it appears in the journal Defence Technology. If the paper appears in Defence Technology then a 4 page extended abstract must be submitted for the proceedings.
If you are a PhD student then please consider submitting your paper for a Student Award - see the separate link on the front page for further information about Awards.
Authors may submit technical paper in the following areas:
- Interior ballistics
- Exterior ballistics
- Launch Dynamics
- Explosion Mechanics
- Terminal Ballistics
- Impact Physics
- Vulnerability & Survivability.

Please remember that if you are submitting a paper for the Defence Technology Special Issue, you must also upload an abstract to the IBS website.

If you have been selected to give an oral presentation then the PowerPoint presentation must be uploaded using the link - Presentation upload
Poster Size and Layout Each author will get one side of two-sided poster board of 3Ft. (Width) X 4Ft (Height) (Which is 36 Inches width and 48 Inches Height) and each will have a useable area measuring (33 Inches Width) X (45” Inches Height). This is a portrait/vertical format. Poster materials may not extend outside the assigned half-board.
