Submission of abstracts is now open.

Paper Submission Guidelines Submission Online

Authors are invited to publish the papers in the proceedings of the conference or, alternatively, in a special issue of Defence Technology journal. The abstract submission to the IBS website is required prior to submission for both the proceedings and the journal.

There are two options for presenting a paper, either orally or poster, at the ISB. Either the full paper is published in the proceedings of the ISB or it appears in the journal Defence Technology. If the paper appears in Defence Technology then a 4 page extended abstract must be submitted for the proceedings.

If you are a PhD student then please consider submitting your paper for a Student Award - see the separate link on the front page for further information about Awards.

Authors may submit technical paper in the following areas:
  • Interior ballistics
  • Exterior ballistics
  • Launch Dynamics
  • Explosion Mechanics
  • Terminal Ballistics
  • Impact Physics
  • Vulnerability & Survivability.
The abstracts should be uploaded to 31st_isb@ballistics.org or to a link provided on (Click here). Submission of full papers for the Special Issue of Defence Technology that will publish papers presented at the 31st ISB will also open.

Please see the document below for details on the submission process.
